Part 4: Kids learn about railroad crossing safety, different roadnames of diesels, and railroad traffic control signals. Kids love dinosaurs, so we came up with the Dino Express - a freight train with a cargo of ten frisky dinosaurs. They go for a ride but it's not always smooth. Kids also learn the various types of dinosaurs.

Part 5: Steam locomotives are featured. Kids learn how they work and how to identify them. Spectacular shots of real steamers are also included. Features legendary Standard gauge toy trains like the State Set, Banker's Special and the Mayflower. Kids will love Buster, the hapless engineer who can't seem to run his diesels without getting into an accident.

Part 6: There are lots of whacky animals riding on trains in this one. Also includes educational segments about bridges, track maintenance and electrical locomotives that use cantenary systems. Plenty of toy train bloopers are featured, along with classic train action both real and toy.

PART 8 See both steam and diesel locomotives including the Pennsylvania Railroad's legendary T-1 Duplex and the Ives Circus Train. Learn about double-heading, and we visit the "Wrong Island Railroad" train layout of the Dollhouse Junction in Long Island, NY.

PART 9 All aboard for more exciting train adventures with Jeff. We visit two elaborate layouts: Dick Brown of Illinois and Lou Palumbo's Underground Railroad Shoppe where we meet Vinny, the toy train-loving mannequin.

PART 10 Jeff introduces more accessories, more music, and the next five inductees into the Toy Train Hall of Fame. Other segments include the Sugar Cane Train in Hawaii and a narrow gauge Shay steamer in LaPorte, Indiana.

PART 11 We start with the story of the New York Central's revered streamlined steam locomotives. See the Commodore Vanderbilt, Mercury, 20th Century Limited, and Empire State Express in all their streamlined glory.
Also featured is the modern BNSF railroad, a visit to an aquarium in Maui, fast and exciting racecars (including the Prewar Lionel slotcars and modern Scalextric models), mystifying train magic performed by Jeff, and Vinnie the train-loving dummy returns to run his trains blindfolded!

PART 12 We begin with a look back at the beautiful bicentennial trains created for the 200th birthday of the United States in 1976. Front and center is the most famous of these special trains--the American Freedom Train. This train was headed by the Southern Pacific Gs-4 streamlined steam locomotive. It made a cross-country trek, pulling thirteen special cars carrying artifacts of the nation's history.
Also featured are the streamlined diesels of the 1930s, when diesels were just beginning to make their case as the motive power of choice for the railroads. Across the country, the sleek speeding machines sliced through speed records and captured the interest of a nation coping with the Great Depression. They became symbols of American industrial pride and served to ignite a spark in railroad transportation.

We begin with the largest operating steam locomotive in the world - the Union Pacific Challenger.
A 4-6-6-4 articulated engine built during World War II, the Challenger pulls vintage streamlined passenger cars on excursion runs throughout the United States. Next is a special informative segment on the various types or railroad signals, many of which are no longer used. Finally, we join the crew of a Chicago SouthShore freight train to see what it's like to work on today's railroad. The SouthShore still uses a caboose for some jobs.

Also included is an insightful interview from renown railroad artist Mitch Markovitz, who created the art for this video cover. Plus new songs by James Coffey. Guaranteed to entertain and educate kids and adults alike.
